CREATE INSPECTION REPORT BY SOLIDWORKS INSPECTION

The SOLIDWORKS® Inspection add-in automates the ballooning of engineering drawings and 3D files with Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI). Minimizing the time needed to record inspection measurements, SOLIDWORKS Inspection streamlines the creation of industry-standard inspection reports.

  1. Open the Drawing. Make sure SOLIDWORKS Inspection tab is active. Click on New Inspection Project, Project Setting Window will open. Select the template. Click OK
  1. Click Part Name tab in Properties Column, Select Linked Custom Property Window will open, Select Description tab and Click OK.
  1. You can Similarly Link other properties or enter manually as well as Shown. Click Next toggle button at upper right corner.
  1. Check all the option as shown. Click on Next toggle button.
  1. Automatically Balloons are applied and part specifications are listed in Characteristics windows at Left side. You can select individual item it get highlighted in drawing as well. You can modify properties of individual Characteristic.
  1. After defining required Properties click on Export to Excel option in the ribbon.
  1. Check the both Template and multi sheet Checkbox as highlighted. Click ok button. Save As Window will popup, Specify the Name, Location and click save button.
  1. The First Article Inspection Report is Generated in Tabular form.
