SOLIDWORKS Application Engineer

We are looking for a customer-service oriented Engineer with SOLIDWORKS experience to join our support team. Our team of Application Engineers provides assistance to customers across the Southeast from large global accounts to small, one-man machine shops. Every interaction with a customer is an opportunity to show them quality and commitment from us. This position will include working closely with our sales team during the pre-sales process in helping identify customer business issues and pain points, then providing a solution through our product and service offerings. Post sales training will further engage you with our customer base along with providing technical quality support on occasion.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Pre-sales support with presentations and consultations
  • Post-sales training and technical support as needed
  • Assist customers with installations and provide recommendations for best practices
  • Understand the entire SOLIDWORKS product suite
  • Become a specialist in certain SOLIDWORKS products
  • Self starter for personal growth and self-training

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors or higher degree  in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • FEA and PDM experience a plus

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional communication and follow-up skills
  • Clear and concise writing skills via e-mail
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer interactions
  • Attention to detail
  • Friendly, helpful attitude
  • Strong SOLIDWORKS background
  • Must have 3+ years experience in SOLIDWORKS

Business Development Manager

We are looking for a customer-service oriented, independent and hard working Sales Manager. Candidate should be ready to travel and give presentations to prospective customers

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone, email and personal visits and quote as needed.

Maintain a living forecast of 30-60-90 day activity and weekly activity reports

Present solutions to customers/prospects using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc

Work with the technical team to present a strong business solution to our prospects and customers.

Develop a working relation with existing and new accounts.

Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal marketing and order management groups.

Maintain an agreed upon quota as assigned for each territory.

Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills through research and reading industry publications and related materials.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical engineering is desired but not compulsory
  • Masters in Business Administration is desired but not compulsory
